OUR SPECIAL GUEST FOR THIS CLASS:
Tell Someone Who Cares is a social enterprise, education hub and global community founded by Holley Somerville-Knott created to help protect the rainforests from palm oil destruction. Driven by a sustainable coconut and macadamia natural product range which contains an alternative to palm oil – Illipe nut butter.
Holley decided to start Tell Someone Who Cares after she was inspired by the inspirational movie Rise of the Eco Warriors. It shows what is happening in the ancient rainforests of Borneo, and the destruction caused by palm oil production. Holley was so affected by what is happening to the people, orangutans and ancient rainforests, she decided to take action. She came up with the idea of starting a global movement that everyone could join to help bring solutions to this major issue by working alongside the Dayak people of the Borneo rainforest.
Also the Founder of The Stardust Foundation, a charity she started when she was 8 to help the planet, people and animals in need, Holley has always had a passion and drive to make change in the world.
Holley is also involved in speaking engagements, singing performances etc – all to raise awareness and funds for social justice and environmental issues she cares about, including homelessness, poverty, education and clean water to name a few.
